🔏 Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 20, 2026

1. Overview

OneKit ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website at yourtoolbox.com (the "Website"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit and use our Website.

🔒 Short version: We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal files, text, passwords, or images. All tool processing happens inside your own browser. We only collect basic anonymous analytics and serve ads through Google AdSense.

By using OneKit, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Website.

2. Information We Collect

We collect two categories of information:

A. Information You Provide Voluntarily

  • When you contact us via the Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and message content solely to respond to your inquiry.
  • We do not use this information for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

B. Automatically Collected Information

  • Log data: Your browser may automatically send us standard log information including your IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, time and date of visit, and time spent on pages.
  • Cookies: We and our advertising partners use cookies as described in Section 4.
  • Usage data: Aggregate, anonymised statistics about which tools are used most frequently (no personal identification).

We do not collect, store, or access any content you enter into our tools — including text, passwords, images, PDF files, or any other input. See Section 3 for details.

3. How Our Tools Work (Local Processing)

All tools on OneKit — including the Word Counter, Image Compressor, PDF Compressor, Password Generator, Image to PDF, and all others — process data entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript.

  • Files you upload (images, PDFs) are never sent to our servers.
  • Text you type or paste never leaves your browser tab.
  • Passwords generated are created using your device's cryptographic API (crypto.getRandomValues()) and are never transmitted.
  • QR codes are generated in your browser — the content is not logged or stored.

Because we do not receive your tool data, we have no ability to access, share, or sell it. This is a fundamental part of our privacy-first architecture.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. We use cookies for the following purposes:

Essential Cookies

  • Dark mode preference: We store your theme preference (light or dark mode) in your browser's localStorage so it persists between visits. This data never leaves your device.

Advertising Cookies

  • We display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and other websites on the internet.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Analytics Cookies

  • We may use Google Analytics to collect anonymised, aggregate usage statistics such as the number of visitors, most-used tools, and geographic region. This data does not identify you personally.

Managing Cookies

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, some parts of our site may not function correctly. For information on how to manage cookies, visit your browser's help documentation.

5. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising

OneKit is free to use. To sustain the website, we display advertisements served by Google AdSense, a web advertising service provided by Google LLC.

Google AdSense uses cookies and web beacons to serve ads on our site. Google's use of these cookies enables it to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites across the internet. This is known as interest-based advertising.

  • Google may collect data such as your IP address, browser type, and browsing behaviour to personalise the ads you see.
  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to our website or other websites.
  • Google AdSense is compliant with GDPR in the European Union through its EU User Consent Policy.

Opt out of personalised ads: You can opt out of Google's personalised advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

For more information on how Google uses data, please visit: How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites.

6. Third-Party Services

Our Website uses the following third-party services and libraries:

  • Google AdSense — advertising (Google LLC, USA). Privacy Policy
  • Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics (Google LLC, USA). Privacy Policy
  • QRCode.js — QR code generation, loaded from Cloudflare CDN. No personal data is sent.
  • jsPDF — PDF creation, loaded from Cloudflare CDN. All processing is local.
  • PDF.js — PDF rendering, loaded from Cloudflare CDN. All processing is local.
  • pdf-lib — PDF manipulation, loaded from jsDelivr CDN. All processing is local.

These third-party services have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external services.

7. Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions (name, email, message) only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, typically no longer than 90 days, after which they are deleted.

Anonymous, aggregate analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify any individual.

Your local preferences (dark/light mode) are stored in your own browser's localStorage and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

8. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

California Residents (CCPA): If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.

9. Children's Privacy

OneKit is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at hello@yourtoolbox.com and we will delete that information.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Your continued use of OneKit after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
